End suffering, accept difference, enjoy all

Politicians Pressing Pomposity

Weathered weasels writhing

With nightly newscast nuances

Gamely gathering gotchas

Unfactual, unproven, understandings

Corrosive complainants calling

Selfishly serving simpletons

Saying

To believe them

Because they said so.

Stainless Ties

Live their work

Or work their lives

Beg borrow or steal

In disguise

Messy

Structured

Living with

And above their lies

Wrinkled men in stainless ties

Not Big Enough

I hear you talk about the things you say and do

I know you want to believe them to be true

My world isn’t big enough to believe in you

There were so many stories that you liked to tell

Sometimes it is better to leave trees where they fell

You begin a love affair

But are taken for a ride

Lost in love

You decide to let it slide

A revolving door

An ancient voice

Hearts grow fonder

The mind does wander

Leading us to decide what

Once you do try

To live and get by

Absurdity breaks out

In laughter

There is love

There is hate

There is meaning

There is debate

Interpretation is not a sin

The wind blows across the open fields
Elevating sound to just above silence.
There are no trucks as I walk
Down the middle of the road.
No noise from the highway.
No discernible sounds.
It is a strange feeling
Yet it is stark in the peacefulness.
A deer crosses the road in full daylight.
There is some rustling in the leaves
A chipmunk appears and then darts off.
Turkeys appear, taking their time
Searching for fresh meals.
There is no sound of busyness
No people sounds
No sound at all
Except the wind,
Gently blowing across the field
