I watch the road

I watch the stars

I hope for you return

From afar

I watch the road

Hoping for the best

I soon will need

A lengthy rest

There is so little I can do

As I sit here yearning for you

Will you come home

Will you remember I am here

Will you hold the love

That I feel so dear?

I watch the road

I write in the stars

How much you are loved

How needed you are

I watch the road

Another darkened night

Hoping you are safe

Hoping you are alright

There comes a time

When love is right for you

There comes a time

You are sure in all you do

There comes a time

To love fiercely and with fire

There comes a time

You build on your desire

Love is on my mind

Catching hold

Of the ties that bind

Building on

Feelings that I find

Gaining strength

In both of our minds

I love you deeply

I just have to say

I love you more

Each and everyday

I love you stronger

Intensity is at play

I love you with passion

That has come to stay

Two lonely hearts

A place set in time

Finding out about love

A meeting of the minds

Circling around

Knocking at the door

Until we discover

We want more

There is wisdom

There is courage

There is love

It is true

But I want you

To want me

The way that

I want you

With a love so strong

What could go wrong?

Every minute

Seems like a week

I get so tongue tied

When I try to speak

Working at the boundaries

Of loving you

Wanting your love

Wanting more it’s true

Not serious enough

To write full time
