Love Is A Strange Bedfellow
In her eyes she smiled
Parting branches as she walked
Full of dizzy dances
Sweetly twirling as she talked
In her eyes the glory of the sun
Birds gathered overhead
Singing heartfelt praises
Bold and soft she did tread
She loved in silent circles
Sheltered from the rain
Keeping all her promises
Protecting her good name
She drew diagrams
Reflecting her inner state
Steepling all her learning
To later contemplate
Everyone who crossed
The fallow path she tread
Drew great love from her
Reflected in what she said
No strong words
Were uttered in her name
And when she disappeared
It never was the same
Cherished moments
Completing all our hearts
Love is strange bedfellows
No matter when it departs
