The barbed wire fence sent a message

A stark city street was aware

Mothers packed up their children

Doorsteps said beware

One day there was a vehicle

Driven by despair

Moments built on lack of trust

Unyielding to compare

And so it goes

Hearts built by a rose

And so it goes

Where one never knows

A simple song was written

Under dark blue skies

Lending itself to a vision

Dark dogs wonder why
