I am a wordsmith

I seek out meanings

I look for definitions

I listen for ideas

I hear sounds

I feel images

I explore and discuss and imagine

And record them because of their interest.

I am profound 

And yet insecure

I read people

And I endure

I seek answers

And pose questions

People think I am strange

And I might well be

I look at life

To discover more about me

Searching for answers

That might never be

Plumbing the depths 

Of a philosophical mind

Uncertain, yet deeply certain

In ways not defined

I am a wordsmith

I am so much more

I am defined

I adore

I chase down answers

I write to understand

A much larger world

And all of its demands
