(And It Is All About My Needs)

Out of key 

Out of tune

Not coming in on one

More jazz than rock and roll

Forging my own way 

Down a dusty road

Sitting a spell

To ease the load

Not asking for things that I need to do

Not living a life that has been defined by you

I live only one life

And it is all about my needs

Once there were men throwing boatloads of cash

I said save your money you are acting rash

I get along just fine without you keeping time

Don’t you try to read my mind

Once someone said 

What aren’t you more like me?

I laughed and laughed and said

That’s just what this world needs

Everyone can’t be the same
