A Life I Have Lived

I walk down 

Empty streets

Listening for 

A heartbeat

Cold winds 

Begin to blow

As I walk  

Far from home

I’ve lived my life

I’ve live it well

So many to stories

That compel

Take me up 

And back again

Loving a life

That remains

Oh a life I have lived

Oh what a life I have been given

Lived my life

In summer breeze

Capturing 

All my needs

Warm winds 

Boosted me

Filled me up

So I could be

Warm hearts flowed

All around me

Giving love

So I could be

Love is gone

Much too soon

My love could

Fill a room

Oh a life I have lived
