Homeless
Portrait In the window
Visions in the dark
Loneliness in disguise
Benches in the park
The numbers are growing
Whispering time and again
Media portrays sorrow
The truth is never let in
Listen as the feet shuffle
Hair is falling down
Stomachs are growling
Coats pulled around
Feel the rivers flowing
Raging around their ears
Weather is not an issue
Only outsiders fears
Handouts on the corner
Cardboard in the alley
Walk in kitchen supper
Where hearts do often rally
Feel the winter wind blowing
Wrapped in frozen panes
Still they keep on walking
On and on again
