Where Do I Begin?

Where Do I Begin?

She played piano

I sat there in total awe

Mesmerized by the sounds

The tones that were drawn

Thunder rattled the air

Yet she played on

Unaware, unassuming

Focused until dawn

Her heart was broken

At least I think it was

Such sadness was flowing

Tears were not enough

Heavy of heart

Words floating on the wind

It made me wonder

Made me feel the world’s sin

She played the piano

Touching on my soul

I sat there entranced

Under her control

She opened her eyes

Then she let me in

In her presence

Where do I begin?
