Ramble and Roam
I used to ramble
I used to roam
I once did travel
Far from my home
So many sights
Inviting me
Now it’s all
On tv
I walked all the way
From New York to L A
Crossed the mountains
On full display
Crossed the prairies
And the rivers too
I crossed this land
For something to do
I worked real hard
To earn my pay
To stay on the road
Everyday
I saw icefields
Shipwrecks too
I crossed this land
Because it I could do
And now I sit
In my new home
I no longer ramble
I no longer roam
My way of travel
Is calling me
But I’m too old
For that to be
